COMMERCIAL MOVERS: MATERIAL DELIVERY
Step 2: Material Delivery— All boxes and inventory stickers/tags will be brought to your office – at your convenience – so personal items can be packed in advance. Jet Van Lines Commercial movers can also provide a full packing service if needed.
COMMERCIAL MOVERS: MARKING AND TAGGING
Step 3: Marking & Tagging — All items are marked with color-coded tags before the move according to the floor-plan, from origin to destination. To ensure efficient distribution and placement throughout each office, we will utilize destination mapping according to the new floor-plan for delivery.

Step 5: Packing & Preparation — Your Jet Van Lines Commercial crew will arrive to pack the contents of the entire office; including files, personal effects (if requested), artwork, and electronics such as computers and printers. All furniture will be dismantled, wrapped and protected before being loaded onto dollies. If there is a library, we will use rolling library carts to transport the books.
COMMERCIAL MOVERS: THE MOVE
Step 6: The Move – At a prearranged time, Jet Van Lines Commercial Moving crew, all equipment, and your foreman will arrive at your office to begin loading the designated items onto the trucks to begin the haul. Following your prearranged schedule, we will deliver all items to your new facility, whether it is a local or an interstate move.
COMMERCIAL MOVING: PLACEMENT AND UNPACKING
Step 7: Placement, Unpacking & Set Up – All items and effects will be distributed to assigned rooms, and furniture will be placed as described on individual doorjamb floor plans. Desks and hutches will be reassembled and large pictures placed in corners. We will have a cleanup crew sweep the office after the delivery, as well as the next day, in order to ensure you return to a clean work environment. Empty and unwanted boxes will be removed, and we can return the next week to pick up the rest of the boxes as well.
COMMERCIAL MOVERS: MOVING TIPS
Packing: Any items inside of bookcases, shelves, wall units, or cupboards should be packed securely in boxes, or reusable plastic bins. All lateral file cabinets must be emptied. Vertical cabinets should only have the bottom two drawers full.
Desks: Pack all contents including current work papers, letter trays, books and other desk items. Seal paper clips, pencils and all other loose materials in envelopes, then pack them in boxes. Protect all glass with paper or small bubble wrap.
Security Files: If possible, all file cabinets should be locked prior to moving. If security regulations require escorts, please advise your Commercial Moving Consultant so arrangements can be made with the mover. Security-sensitive files may then be consolidated. Supply or Storage Cabinets (moveable): Pack all contents in boxes. Cabinet doors should be locked or tied. “Do Not Move” Items: If items are not to be moved or if equipment and furniture are to be discarded, be sure to tag them with “Do Not Move” labels. This will eliminate any unnecessary moving expense.
Personal Items: The Commercial mover cannot be responsible for your personal possessions, such as legal papers, money, lighters, fountain pens, pictures, plants, etc. We suggest you pack them yourself and mark them with your name as “private desk.” If you need special containers, ask your Moving Consultant. However, if you prefer, we can pack these items for you.
